Pumpkin Decorating

Bring your own pumpkin and decorate it for    Celebrate Holliston.  We will provide decorating supplies and have it delivered to Celebrate Holliston for display!

"Who's Got the Etrog"

Wednesday, September 26th 6:30pm 
Bring a stuffed animal friend and join Holliston 
author Jane Kohuth for an interactive read-aloud of her new picture book, "Who’s Got the Etrog?", a story about the Jewish harvest holiday Sukkot in the Abayudaya community in Uganda.  Hear the story, learn about Sukkot, shake a lulav and etrog, help decorate our sukkah fort, and learn more about the Abayudaya, one of the many diverse Jewish communities around the world.

"Kintu and the Fairy Bee" Reading and Activity
ages 6 and up

Here's a perfect story that combines multi-culturalism with mindfulness.  Come hear a story about the first man in Uganda and find out how a friend can help when you are overwhelmed by a situation.  The author is one of our second grade teachers at Placentino Elementary!

Winter Variety Show by the Toe Jam Puppet Band

This show features an appearance from Vinny’s    
extraordinary puppet creation that blows a
snowstorm through its nose! The show includes a 
Penguin Line Dance and a variety of Toe Jam's 
favorite interactive songs, dances and puppet shows.

Taal Tales
ages 6 and up

Taal Tales is a lecture/demonstration that presents the history of classical South Indian dance and performances of dance pieces celebrating various deities.  With elements of storytelling, rhythmic 
footwork and athletic grace, Kuchipudi relays vivid
stories from Hindu mythology.

YMCA Play Learn and Grow

The literacy based playgroup includes a feature book themed activity, 
sensory and manipulative play, gross motor activities, circle time with stories 
and songs, and a spot for babies to play and explore! Each week Project ABC 
brings new and exciting themes to the playgroups, and are now focusing on 
STEM and STEAM activities.
Preschool Time @ the Library

Weekly learning activities and stories for independent 4 and 5 year olds.  Parents/caretakers remain in the Children's Room while children participate on their own in the Gilman Room. Trying to meet people in town?  Tired of being stuck in your own house?  Come to the library to connect with other young families.  Grown-ups can chat and connect with other parents and caregivers while supervising their children's play.  Toys and coffee provided by the library!
