She will present a program on the tragic story of the Boston nightclub fire of 1942 in which nearly 500 lost their lives. Borrow a library copy of her book or purchase one at the program. Join us from 11-1 pm as Jan Kardys presents "You Wrote a Book, Now What? Jan will use her 40 years in the publishing business to show us how to go from developing an idea for a book to actually getting published. She will cover both traditional and self-publishing, rights, marketing and how to use cutting edge technologies and social media services to increase visibility. Powerpoint and handouts. Does your middle-school child have trouble initiating tasks? Lose homework? Struggle to set goals and stay on track? Dan Levine and Melissa Wilson of Engaging Minds, an after school learning center will share strategies to reduce academic stress and strengthen executive skills at home. Although this program is designed for middle-school parents, all parents are welcome. The workshop includes Q&A and small group break-out sessions. Free and open to all. Dan and Melissa are donating their time for this program.
