TEEN ZONE BOOK GROUP

It is that time of year again...time to start up another fun year of Teen Zone Book Club and Teen Advisory Group at HPL! All new and not-so-new members welcome.
We will meet Monday September 27 at 3 pm in the Gilman Room. We will eat snacks.
We will discuss Surviving the Applewhites By Stephanie Tolan. Books available at the main circ desk.

"I have been reading Shabanu and Haveli by Suzanne Fisher Staples, and they're really good! They are set in Pakistan, and they are about a girl raised in the desert herding camels. Her sister, Phulan, is getting married, so they go to the town where her betrothed lives. Shabanu will marry his younger brother, Murad. When they get to Hamir's house, the wedding preparations begin. However, the greedy landlord decides that he wants Phulan to be his wife. Hamir is accidentally shot and... don't want to ruin the ending! But they're really good, and I would recommend them to people who like historical or geographical fiction."
